With Kala’s Project Economy feature, you can quickly gain an overview of your project’s financials directly from the project page. This feature provides insight into the hours, materials, and mileage registered on your projects and tasks. It is designed to give you a clear picture of your project’s income, expenses, and overall profit.
Activate Project Economy on Projects
To enable Project Economy, you need to find and activate the following setting(s):
Show Economy on Projects for Authorized Users
Manager Role Can View Project Economy
- Navigate to Settings > Advanced Settings.
- Find the setting: Show Economy on Projects for Authorized Users.
- Check the box to activate this setting.
- Give Managers Access to Economy:
- To allow managers to view the project economy, activate the following setting: Manager Role Can View Project Economy.
- Reload Your Browser:
- Once the settings are activated, reload your browser.
How to Use Project Economy
- Navigate to the desired project in Projects from the menu on the left.
- At the top of the project page, you will see a bar labelled Economy.
- To expand the bar, click on Details in the upper right corner.
- You will now see the Project Economy for your project.
- To add expenses to your project or its tasks, click Add Expense in the upper right corner.
What Can You See in Project Economy?
- Sales Price, Costs, and Profit:
- Get an overview of how much has been earned, spent, and the resulting profit for the project.
- Total Invoiced Amounts:
- See how much of the total amount has already been invoiced to the customer.
- Income on the Project:
- An overview of all registered income on the project.
- Expenses on the Project:
- An overview of all costs associated with the project.
- Materials and Their Value:
- View the materials used on the project and their total value.
These details are displayed both for the project and for each individual task, allowing you to dive into the specifics if needed.
