As a company, you likely have various guides, manuals, and documents that need to be easily accessible to employees, no matter where they are. This could include everything from a workplace assessment to a simple handbook on vacation requests.
In Kala, these are called Manuals and are stored in a dedicated tab accessible to all employees. Once you have added your first guide, the Manuals tab will appear in Kala’s left-hand menu.
How to Add New Manuals
To add new manuals, you need to find and configure the following setting:
Enter links and names for your manuals here (format: name=url;…)
- Navigate to Settings > Advanced Settings
- Find the setting: Enter links and names for your manuals here (format: name=url;…)
- Type in the name of your guide and the corresponding URL
- Example: “Employee Handbook=https://drive.google.com/file/employeehandbook;”
- If you add multiple guides, separate each guide with a semi-colon (;)
- You can add guides from various online providers, e.g. Google Drive, OneDrive, SharePoint etc.

Before adding a link to a guide, make sure the link is shareable and accessible to others. For example, in Google Drive, make sure anyone with the shared link can at least view the document.
